| | My damned English | | I am a student of a university in China and i had learned english for more than ten years,however,my english is still very disappointing.
I took part in an English oral test about this afternoon, i failed.i am sad notwithstanding that i know i don't have enough power to compete with them in English.My average score of major is the best in our department,this event makes me understand that English is much more important than major scores.Oh,my god,i am a Chinese,not an American or an Englishman.I know there is no useful to complain here,it's impossible that the world will change just for me,what should i do is improving my damned english.But how?Could you tell me something about how to learn english?Is it helpful to dictate VOA english? | |

| | | Damned Bloodsuckers! | | Yesterday I found a tick attached to me. I live in Dutchess County, NY - the Lyme Disease CAPITAL of the world. Today I have a nasty red welt where I was bitten, and I called the nurse at my doctor's office. If I start to feel horrible, they will want to see me. However, I have a nerve disorder that leaves me in chronic pain, gives me headaches and generally has me feeling horrible all the time, so how will I know if it isn't my "normal" horrible feeling or a tick borne illness? Of course now that I KNOW I've been bitten by a tick, I feel nauseous and horrible, but that is most likely all in my head. I am so creeped out! Now I feel like every little tingle or itch I feel will find some nasty parasite on me and I'm dizzy and just feeling gross. Stupid bloodsuckers, stupid Dutchess County!
Have you ever had Lyme disease, ehrlichia or any other tick borne illness? Have you ever found one of those little baastards sucking on you? Does it upset you that the simple act of taking the kids outside to play can result in a fatal or debilitating illness? | |
| | Damned Visa | | Right now I wish I could shoot he person who has invented visa. Although is comfortable to use especially when you are low in cash, it can become a habit to spend beyond your means. This week I had a fight with my wife over this issue. Despite that we had to use the Visa money to buy some furniture, our agreement was that she had to put a monthly payment in the Visa Account so that the debit will be reduced slowly. I learned that my wife is still using her visa account when she is low in cash to make ends meet. We had a bitter fight about it.

God that sucked. They are having all five movies, all weekend long, and behind the scenes stuff, and how they were made and all that kind of stuff. WOOoohoooo Hell yeah, I love these movies, Its called channel of the apes lol. Whoah they are even having commericals with apes in them lol, how damn cool. ITS A MAD HOUSE, A MAD HOUSE!!!!!! hehehehe. Damn this is cool. Hmmm I dont remember if ive seen the battle for the planet of the apes or not, I probably have, I would love to have the money to buy this whole series. Right now they are talking about the making of planet of the apes. Ive never seen the tv series, though from what ive heard they sucked, hmmm and ive only heard of one but seems there are two. So how many of out there like these movies?

| | I'm damned if I do..... And I'm damned if I don't..... Who feels the same as me? | | Well there have certainly been some controversies on mylot lately! We have had discussions from stalking accusations (Which appear to not be accusations at all but ended up being seen as this!) to heated exchanges about burkas (Burqa's or Burkah's as well based on the different spellings I have seen) among other things.I avidly wacth these types of discussions and am actually amazed sometimes about how passionate and fired up some people can get! Part of me wishes to jump in and and say SOMETHING but I know that there is not really anything I can say at all that wouldn't be misinterpreted by somebody. So I sit there on the sidelines as a spectator and watch the circus..... It's not easy believe me!Do you sometimes feel the same as I do? I don't get where the whole, hand held entertainment device, idea came from. Sure it wastes time when your bored, but it also distracts the rest of the world from each other, now you can talk to friends via IM and watch tv so you don't actually have to make contact with a person to be entertained. Sorry, I just think it's kinda sad. | |
