| | Which Rancid album is your favorite? | | Which "Rancid" album is your favorite? and you think the most classic among their releases. Mine is their "Let's Go" album way back in the early 90's. The album concist of 20 plus arse kicking tracks and was recorded only for 2 hours due to lack of budget for the recording studio. However, it turned out to be the most fast, edgy, raw and very punk rock compared to the other albums from other punk bands released during that time. Where everyone was just starting to play and sport pop punk, rancid stick to their roots which is street punk and out came the wolves. Punks NoT DeAd! | |

I found a company(before sites) and got his address. I wrote him many letters. I was losing hope when one day afew months before he was to star in MV I recieved a white manilla envelope with a picture of him a letter. I was so excited and actually followed him for several years into his popularity on MV. Now. Not so much. I also got a nice letter from a popular Science Fiction writer, Andre Norton. | | Did You All Have A "Normal Christmas Dinner"? Well, I Sure Didn't!!! | | Hey All! Opal Here! Well, It started out as a nice normal
Christmas Day! I got up, started to get the turkey ready
to cook, but it just didn't look quite right, but trying
to be optimistic I seasoned it and put it in the oven anyway!
There was something about one of the wings that bothered me!
Well, the turkey was cooking for about 3 hours and not smelling
turkey like~not smelling at all, which is just not normal! So,
finally after it is done, I took a good look at it and said to
my boyfriend, we can't eat this bird, there is something definitely
wrong with it! It is not looking the way a turkey should look
cooked, it doesn't smell at all after cooking for 4 hours, and
I don't want to die! So, I had to cancel my Christmas Dinner at
the last minute! The damn bird was rancid! I will be calling my
local grocery store tomorrow to tell them that they ruined my
Christmas Dinner! I have cooked enough birds in my time to know
when I have got one that is a "sick bird"! So me and my guests
dined on "Take Out Chinese Food"! Did anyone else have a Christmas
Dinner Disaster? I hope not! | |

| | New Album | | What do y'all think of the new Rancid Album? I got it on itunes, so it has every song in it's original and acoustic versions. I must say I have mixed feelings, but overall it's Rancid, so I like it...I guess when you've been listening to the same band from age 8 to 26, and you never get sick of them, you're just happy to have new songs. At least that's how I feel. I do have to say that while I love Matt Freeman playing bass, I don't dig his vocals very well. Tim and Lars have f-d up enough voices already. Plus, I think he kinda sounds like big mike from NOFX. Anyway, I was kinda surprised that no one had started a discussion about the new album yet, so I did! | |
| | Time Bomb! | | One of my music influences. Their raw style of street punk rock, their outfit, the hair and everything says it all. Their the greatest punk rock band for me. These guys are just awesome. The baby pink color of Tim's mohawk are amazing. | |
