| | | | | Teens as a Visible Minority | | Have you caught yourself discriminating against teenagers just because you recognize that they are teenagers and not adults?I believe that often, teens are discriminated against by adults. Teens can't get away from looking like teenagers. They don't look like little kids, and most teens can be told apart from adults, too. Teens are teens are teens. They are visibly teenagers, and they have no authority because they are still minors, according to their age.Very often, I see adults sneer on the bus or other public transit vehicles when they see teenagers approach to catch the same transit vehicle. Sometimes there only has to be 1 teenager to make an adult (or several) start to take on 'the grump look,' and actually start bossing the teenager around. I have been riding, myself, on public transit and have had another adult, a stranger to me, comment, "those damned no-good kids!" - in response to NOTHING that the teens (a group of 3 teenaged boys) did wrong. | | | Somebodies watching you!!!!!!!!!!!! | | I know this may sound like a stupid discussion but it is true and may make you think twice about some of the things we do in our homes and cars lol. I know i do this one and i dont know why i just do. When a car drives by your home you should be aware of what the passengers can see through your window. I know i have seen some nasty things and some funny ones too. Once i saw someone standing in front of their tv in their boxers scratching the unmentionables and finger up the nose to the second knuckle lol and he didnt even suspect. Then you should also be aware the other way around you can look out your window and watch cars go by and some of the stuff the driver and or passengers are doing is just as bad and or funny. So think before you do something cause somebody could be watching you too. Have you ever saw stuff like this do you think anyone may have saw you doing this too? Let's say you have some old friends that are being morons and acting inmmature all the time around you. Yea back in high school acting like that was kool, but now you're all grown up and taking some serious jobs, earing serious money. The jobs you have involes seeing customers everyday, but when you're in public with your old friends, they act like they,re 15 yrs old. Would it be kool knowing that someone in the public that is one of your customer might see you acting like them, and what will their thoughts be about you? | |
