To him, we attribute the hit songs such as "Wandering", "Her Town Too", "Long Ago And Farway","Sweet Baby James","handy man", Shower The People","Your Smiling Face", "How Sweet It Is", Carolina in My Mind". How I love his music and his very fine singing voice, very cool, very nice music to listen to. You will find it very relaxing to listen to the music of james taylor. He is among my top favorites. His music made significant contribution to the music of the 80's. His songs are indeed great songs to remember. | where were you the first time you heard a james taylor song. | | I remember being about 7 years and begging for a tape recorder for my birthday (yep, I said tape recorder). I wanted one so bad so that I could tape myself singing or interviewing my little brother. My sweet dad bought me a tape recorder and what he thought was a blank tape. It was actually a James Taylor cassette. I was incredibly moved by his music and have loved him ever since. There's an incredible warmth I feel whenever I hear his voice. | | James Taylor has got the sweetest finger I have ever heard. | | There are hundreds of artist that I appreciate and listen to but out of all of them James Taylor stands out. Well to me personally anyways.I don't study the lives of artists because people are people and they do stupid things. So I don't get wrapped up in their private lives. I say that because my wife is just the opposite. She wants details about everything under the sun.:)I can just lay back and listen to James play hour after hour.For years I would listen and wish I could do that and eventually I got a guitar and started learning. I was 47 at that time and even now I am no star. I do however enjoy myself and have learned a couple of songs.Copperline and MexicoI will learn more as time goes on but for now I am just living and having more fun learning than I can express in words. | |
