Talk about the rock music that you love here! | | | Glenn Beck Inc.... Inside the Cash Machine | | glenn beck…. Crying all the way to the bank… By Lacey Rose… Forbes Magazine April 2010Article: glenn beck Inc. Inside the Cash MachineWith a deadpan, Beck insists that he is not political: “I could give a flying crap about the political process.” Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. “We’re and entertainment company,” Beck says. He has managed to monetize virtually everything that comes out of his mouth. He gets $13 million a year from print (books plus the ten-issue-a-year magazine Fusion). Radio brings in $10 million.==============================================
Another 9 million from other sources. glenn beck is a money machine and millions of people are buying his negative controversy slanted comments. | |
| | Glenn Beck is bad for America - - Agree or Disagree? | | Did you see the ex-Congressman Massa interview with Beck? When disgraced Mr. Massa came 'clean' about what had happened leading to his resignation Beck had the chance to celebrate his honesty and talk of the perspective of a one term Congressman. Instead he kept at him to talk of corruption and anger and uncorroborated accusations and sarcasm against Rahm Emmanuel. (I do not mean to defend the Chief of Staff).A real journalist would have celebrated the interview and moved from any agenda to give people a glance at a person at a rather unique point in his public career. Instead Beck kept hammering away at his own agenda telling his viewers he had wasted their time. Beck (and yes, I listen to his radio show most every day) missed a real opportunity and blew it because he is sooooo near sighted in his views. And for the man with the 3rd most listened to radio show in the country, this agenda and near sighted-ness and missed opportunity is bad for America. Your thoughts? | |
| | Something I really want Glen Beck to say... | | After seeing the South Park episode "Dances with Smurfs," I would love to see Glen Beck say, "What happened to my schooool!?"just sayin'; I think it would be pretty amazing.ntry, this agenda and near sighted-ness and missed opportunity is bad for America. Your thoughts? | |
| | Glenn Beck just made an announcement that has me puzzled. | | He is broadcasting a live performance tonight of "The Christmas Sweater" and I don't know if that's the subject of the announcement but he said something to the effect that if anything went wrong tonight he'd spend every cent he's got to expose the people behind whatever he thinks might happen. What do you think he's talking about? Do you think his broadcast is going to be sabotaged? I haven't read The Christmas Sweater but intend to in the next week or so. Do you think there are plans to block the transmission? Why would someone do this, do you think? | |
| | Glenn Beck's "Arguing With Idiots | | I've been reading Glenn Beck's book Arguing With Idiots" and am wondering how many others on myLot are or have already read his book. What do you think about it? It is a real eye opener about what is going on behind the scenes of our "great government" | |
| | A little annoyed with Glenn Beck lately | | I like Beck, let me say that to start with, I watch his show and I like that I get stories and info that is ignored by most of the media, including the rest of Fox News. Lately however he has shown a disturbing trend with his tea party support, that is, supporting more of the hijacked part of the movement rather than the independant/libertarian masses.Recently though, and this is what annoyed me, he interviewed Texas gubinitorial candidate Debrah Mediana on his radio show. Medina is the quintessential liberty candidate, a very Ron Paul-esque person. In recent polls she has screamed ahead, leaving Hutchinson in the dust and nearly catching up to Perry. A few polls even showed her ahead of Perry in a primary and it is certain that if she were to take the republican nomination, she would win the governors seat. she could probably even take the seat if she ran as an indepandant. In this interview, she was asked about her beliefs on the events of 9/11 and she basicly responded by saying she didn't think we had all the answers. Well, isntantly the main stream media grabbed this and used it to bash her as a 9/11 turther and a conspiricy nut.... | |
| | OUTRAGE! Why don't Beck & Limbaugh use their resources to... | | help people in dire straits? Just imagine it for a moment, folks. Each day they talk to millions of people and get them to move on political issues like tea parties or investing in Scott Brown's campaign. Since both call for less government it would befit their politics to call for charitble donations to help others. You may disagree with Keith Olberman, but he is promoting help for the tens of thousands of people frozen in South Dakota or starving for health care in our ciites. Why don't they help? PLEASE explain, folks... | |
| | AC/DC, Judas Priest, And Jeff Beck | | I didn't watch the Grammies, but I just read where these guys took Best hard rock Performance, Best Metal Performance, and Best Rock Instrumental Performance respectively. How cool is that? See? You youngsters make fun of us 'old people' and our music, but I grew up listening to these guys and I'm still listening and they'restill rocking hard! (Rob Halford and I are the same age!) So I'm heading out on the highway. I've got nothing to lose at all.Oh yes... of course it's on the highway to hell.s interview, she was asked about her beliefs on the events of 9/11 and she basicly responded by saying she didn't think we had all the answers. Well, isntantly the main stream media grabbed this and used it to bash her as a 9/11 turther and a conspiricy nut. Though it didn't seem to hurt her in the polls and in fact garnished her even more exposure and donations. One could even say that Beck should be thanked for this. BUT....his intent was apparent, to discredit her. Palin, someone whom beck seems to have taking a liking to, is a staunch supporter of Current governor Perry and is endorsing and campaigning for him, so I suspect... | |
